Frankfort, Ill., is about to get some new call center jobs. AutoAccessoriesGarage.com, an auto parts supply company, will be setting up a call center in downtown Frankfort on Nebraska Street. The location—approximately 36 miles south of Chicago—may seem to be an odd choice, but, according to Joseph Hosey of the Frankfort Patch, the company was founded in Frankfort, Illinois in 2005.
It is anticipated that the new call center will employ 30 to 40 employees. The company offers everything from body kits to car covers to mud flaps to hitches to bumpers to bike racks, so it is likely that the customer service representatives will have to commit to memory details about a wide variety of products from the company’s catalogue. While the products that AutoAccessoriesGarage.com carries are massive, the company says that its Nebraska Street facility will neither stock products, nor will it distribute products.
According to the company’s website, they are looking for call center agents who can work full-time to “develop expertise” on their products, maintain order status records and communicate those statuses to their customers, take orders via live chat, resolve customer service issues, respond to order status inquiries, and generally “provide exceptional first point-of-contact customer service and respond appropriately to phone/email inquiries from customers and vendors.”
Some of the perks offered by the company—both to their call center staff in Frankfort and to their office staff in Chicago—include paid vacation and holidays, 401k with matching contribution, medical, dental, and vision benefits, and wholesale discounts. More details about the job’s description, benefits, and requirements can be found on the “careers” page of the company’s website. Whether or not the company has plans to expand after the initially 30 to 40 hires is unclear at this time, but, for now, job seekers in the Frankfort area have something to be hopeful about.
