Teletrips, a provider of Web-based assessment, management and reporting tools for workforce and workplace sustainability,
has released the latest version of its Commute Management and Reporting System.
The company said that this software as a service (Saas) solution provides customers auditable transparency and control over the financial, environmental and societal -- triple bottom line (3BL) -- impacts associated with employees work locations and travel modes.
In order to report on the cumulative triple bottom line for the organization, the system aggregates individual employee impacts to report. Plus, it can feed directly into corporate social responsibility reporting efforts, said company officials.
The system is based on authoritative industry data sources, such as the World Resources Institute GHG Protocol, Transport Canada and the US Environmental Protection Agency. Since it’s based on authoritative industry data sources, 3BL Reports can be utilized as a key input for regional and global sustainability indices, said company officials.
Ian Gover, president and CEO at Teletrips, noted that today’s sustainable enterprise is required to balance financial performance with management of their overall environmental footprint and community level impact.
“The Commute Management and Reporting System provide our customers with an objective and auditable snapshot of the previously hidden bi-products of our daily work choices,” Gover said.
Gover said that the company’s solutions are designed to address direct and indirect emissions from a variety of additional sources, including the employee commute, business related travel and underutilized workspaces.
Earlier last month, Teletrips
announced an alternative to emergency government office closures with its new tool called My Response. My Response is a personal readiness assessment and planning tool specifically designed to help individual employees prepare for and adapt to the dramatic operational changes they will face during a man-made or natural crisis situation.
