Veeva Systems has announced that it will support
OSI Pharmaceuticals with its software as a service (SaaS (

Alert)) customer relationship management (CRM) application.
In February, OSI deployed the application for its sales team after a rapid implementation process. The pharmaceutical company said that they have selected Veeva CRM for its ease of use, relevant functionality, and speed.
The company selected VBioPharma Specialty Care Edition, VMobile iPhone (
News -
Alert) Edition, and VInsights – all part of Veeva System’s CRM suite. Company officials said that they deployed Veeva’s solution after reviewing systems from other pharmaceutical CRM vendors.
Company officials said that Veeva CRM offered OSI a system that improves mobility, provides richer analytics, and increases flexibility to handle changes quickly.
Additionally, OSI required a solution for its new system that required very little ongoing maintenance effort or cost. Veeva CRM features a multi-tenant SaaS architecture, eliminating the need to purchase, scale, or maintain hardware or software.
Moreover, customers of Veeva also benefit from free, automatic upgrades every 90 days, allowing them to always work on the latest version of the software with the latest compliance changes and system enhancements, said company officials.
“The pharmaceutical industry’s moves towards more flexible SaaS applications continue to drive Veeva’s dramatic growth within both large and small companies,” said Matt Wallach, executive vice president and general manager at Veeva Systems.
Veeva CRM suite of applications comprises of VBioPharma, VMobile, and VInsights, targeting life sciences industry. As the foundation, VBioPharma offers multiple editions in one CRM product.
Company officials said it accommodates the unique needs of various life sciences commercial teams. It’s also touted as the only pharma CRM application to come pre-validated for PDMA and CFR Part 11 compliance.
The complete Veeva CRM suite gives customers the mobility and reporting solutions needed to drive user adoption and sales effectiveness, according to company officials.
