Statoil, an international energy company with operations in 40 countries has selected Accenture (

Alert) to manage the company's Accounts Payables processes. This is a five year business process outsourcing (BPO) contract, Accenture has stated in a press release.
Accenture enables high performance through outsourcing management. The company's experience and global capabilities enable them to offer improved application outsourcing, infrastructure outsourcing, business process outsourcing and bundled outsourcing, the company claims.
By reengineering processes and increasing automation supported through Accenture's Global Delivery Network, the agreement is designed to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Statoil's Accounts Payable function. Accenture will its centers in Norway, the Czech Republic and India to achieve this goal. The Accenture Global Delivery Network uses common methodologies, architectures and metrics to turn more than 50 global facilities staffed by 80,000-plus professionals into a massive engine for high performance.

Accenture has worked with Statoil since the late 1970's, helping the organization in areas such as Management Consulting and Technology Services. The delivery of the outsourced services is scheduled to begin in September 2010, Accenture has announced in a press release. Accenture's Global Delivery Network comprises of more than 50 delivery centers at carefully chosen locations across the globe.
Recently, Henkel, a Fortune Global 500 company that markets well-known brands such as Dial soap, Purex laundry detergent, Loctite adhesives and got2b styling products, selected Accenture to deliver application management services. This application outsourcing contract is for six years. Accenture will provide management services for the local applications and related project services of Henkel's North American business according to the new agreement.
